Now in retirement Alexander has picked up his brushes determined to catch up on lost years and pursue his love of art producing different, imaginative, and meaningful painting in all topics and mediums to share with the Community with the aim to test just how far he can reach in his belatedly true ambition of being a successful artist.
His range of art extends to producing works in Watercolour and Acrylic using supports of paper, board, and canvas.
Topics range from watercolour land and seascapes of attractive views of local coastlines, churches, and river scenes to works in Acrylic medium of Cityscapes, Topical and Abstract productions in a topic and style that attracts the viewers to feel they are part of the painting and will enjoy having it on their wall.
Alexander particularly favours painting in the style of American Precisionism and Cubist Realists, with his favourite artists being Charles Sheeler, Ralston Crawford, Georges Seurat, Picasso, and Pam Carter.
He sells one-off originals, very high quality Giclee limited edition and open edition prints to suit all buyer budgets and choices. Commissions are always welcome from people wanting a specific subject and colour scheme.
All works are offered mounted and framed or simply mounted ready for framing. Original framed paintings and works on thick bar stretched canvas mounts are sold fitted with D rings and wire ready to hang.
Alexander also offers a collection of popular Christmas cards together with Greeting and Notelet cards fronted with paintings from his gallery collection. Notelet cards are blank inside. All cards are printed on FSC approved paper and supplied packed in a cellophane bag with an envelope.
