Ana Villacampa is a Hampshire based artist born in the sunny Costa Blanca in Spain where she grew up surrounded by the Mediterranean. After finishing university in Barcelona and Milan, she developed her career in architecture and design in Italy for several years before moving to the UK where she currently lives and works in the New Forest area.
Ana is a keen traveler who developed her love for fine art and photography at the early age of 12. She is passionate about the use of light and contrast on her watercolours, line & wash and pen & ink works on figurative painting and landscapes. Ana’s abstract compositions in acrylic on canvas are a constant dialogue between light, colour and the geometry of the space. As part of her professional activity, Ana collaborates as well with portrait artist David Ridler at the 1st Floor Gallery Picture Framing Studio in Michelmersh (Romsey).
