Elaine Preece

I am not interested in representing ‘the facts.  I like my paintings to reveal something that makes me want to look again.  My painting practice tends to be with oil paint but most recently I have found a love of painting egg tempera.  I am usually exited to see landscapes in woodlands and parks and like to express a musicality in my brushstrokes and mark making.  I have also found a way of expressing my feelings of past and present in my most recent figurative and portrait work.
