Paintings show us emotion and are not just a visual representation. In my work I try to enter into a place in my memory and convey the feelings it evokes. I like the viewer to own the picture by stopping and putting a part of themselves into it. They are contemplative as well as decorative. It is good to stop, leave your worries behind and enter into a different world for a few moments.
