Jane is a mid career artist with 30 years of creative background. Her ongoing narrative is the celebration of our great landscape, cross-referenced to the destruction of our planet. Jane is primarily a painter who is constantly evolving in style, she doesn’t pigeon hole herself in to any one way of working, she celebrates change, it leads to new and exciting work.
Alongside working in bright oils on canvas, in 2019 she started using a transparent plant based material as a ground on which to paint, the organic material alludes to the need for all of us to care more about the damage of using plastics; oil painted in bright transparent earth and sea colours with added ferrous powders, aims to remind us of the beauty and richness that is our earth.
