Jane Wilson originally trained in printed textile design and spent many years working in the fashion industry before becoming a full‑time collage artist. Now living in Cornwall, she draws inspiration from the county’s coastline, landscapes and rich natural flora and fauna.
Her practice is deeply process‑driven. Jane treats her collage papers as sketchbook pages, intuitively building them with layers of texture, colour and mark‑making in a variety of media. These spontaneous explorations are then woven into her final mixed‑media artworks, giving each piece a distinctive depth and energy.
Jane has exhibited widely throughout the UK, including with the Royal Society of British Artists, the Society of Wildlife Artists and the Royal Watercolour Society.
