It has become fashionable for the artist to become so tightly entangled with their craft that we often struggle to tell them apart. This is me!
I've been a professional artist for almost 25 years, my work has been exhibited in galleries, solo, national, and international exhibitions.
My main artistic focus has always been movement, the power of an image to create a perception or sense of movement, and especially in the creative relationship between the viewer and the art. I love the texture of paint which I believe adds to the movement, lost and found edges and a few drips here and there.
I am inspired to paint a whole range of subjects from my travels to my back garden, from portraits to landscapes, I particularly like still life and painting light.
Based in North Yorkshire in my lovely studio, I create original works, prints and cards. I am a skilled framer specialising in hand painted and finished frames, we offer a full framing service both to our local community and throughout the UK, and welcome visitors by appointment for a nice cup of Yorkshire Tea.
