Dorset

The Dorset Art Scene is shaped by its dramatic coastline, rolling countryside, and a long tradition of creativity inspired by the county’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. From the artistic energy of towns like Bournemouth, Poole, and Dorchester—with their galleries, studios, and lively arts venues—to the independent makers, craft workshops, and community‑led projects thriving in coastal villages and rural communities, Dorset offers a rich and inspiring environment for artistic expression. Artists here draw from the Jurassic Coast, historic market towns, and the gentle rhythms of southwest England, producing work that feels both rooted in place and alive with contemporary imagination.

The Local Art Scene is a trading name of Hart Media Group, Lymington, Hampshire, UK
