Waterside Woodcarvers

A friendly and supportive group of about 30 woodcarvers on the East edge of the New Forest. Open to anyone 16 years and over, from beginners to very experienced. We carve fortnightly on Thursday evenings, 7-9pm at Applemore College during term time, using their woodwork room. Tools and tuition are provided if needed.

Quarterly social events take place at St Andrews, Dibden Purlieu. These are extra opportunities to get together socially with visiting speakers, demonstrations and other activities. They include the June club trophy night and a Christmas party with the imaginative results of the annual Wood Block Challenge.

The club holds exhibitions of its members’ work – in Hythe Library and at local events such as the Marchwood Fete, Dibden Purlieu Horticultural Show, Beaulieu Countryside Show and our Annual Exhibition at Lymington.
