Jersey Museum and Art Gallery

Admire pieces of art as you wander round the museum, including a portrait of Lillie Langtry by Sir John Everett Millais. Step inside the beautifully restored, gas-lit Victorian House and learn the story of a Victorian family in crisis as you hear the story of Dr Charles Ginestet, who abandons his beautiful home and flees to France to start a new life.

Our permanent exhibition ‘La Tèrr’rie d’Jèrri – d’s histouaithes dé not’ Île / Being Jersey – stories of our Island‘ is open on the first floor,  come and explore what makes Jersey a special Island. Although Jersey is just a  tiny – a small dot on the world map, it size belies the breadth of its unique and varied heritage. This exhibition celebrates some of our Island’s most significant moments and discovers how living here has affected the lives of just a few of those four million. Using our most special objects as witnesses to our past, it explores how we have come to be an Island and Islanders.

The Local Art Scene was originally created in 2015 to help people discover and support art in towns and cities across the UK. It offers advertisers a simple, accessible space to showcase their businesses outside the noise of traditional social media platforms. Associated Websites: Yachtseek | Engineers Recruitment
