The Art Shop has stores in Ilkley & Northallerton full of art & craft materials for the professional, serious amateur or leisure painter. The Art Shop is a family run business established in Ilkley in 1919 and now in its 4th generation. We provide a first class customer service and a wide range of materials at the best prices for all types of artists. Our aim is to provide an online resource to encourage people of all ages & abilities to draw and paint by providing advice, information and discounted prices on a wide range of art materials.

A full picture framing service is also provided with all work carried out in our own workshop. Our team is able to discuss your framing requirements and offer expert advice and guidance. We offer discount to students & art club members as well as larger discounts to Clubs, Societies, schools and colleges.

Established by local artist Herbert Tennant in 1919 in Ilkley our two stores have now become the best of Yorkshire's independent Art Shops supplying high quality fine art and graphic materials for professional and leisure artists. We also have student and school ranges.

Our expanded Ilkley premises stocks a wide range of products with many at discounted prices. We have a reputation for friendly and expert advice for the beginner as well as more established artists.

We also have a young artists area and also a range of mountboard and coloured card and paper.

Our on site picture framing workshop provides an expert bespoke service where we can draw on over 100 years experience to advise you on your choice of framing.

We also have a small Gallery that features local artists work.

Since 2001 The Art Shop Northallerton has been providing a wide range of good quality art materials. Appearances can be deceiving as from the outside the shop appears quite small but in fact has 600 square feet of art materials, paper mountboard & craft.

We also provide a bespoke picture framing & mount cutting service.

Situated at The North End of The High Street with car parking outside, The Art Shop has all an artist could ask for.
