Austė Skardžiukaitė‑Kabašinskienė

Austė’s practice is a deeply personal exploration of drawing as a way of understanding — an intimate, reflective process that invites both artist and viewer to look beyond the visible. For her, drawing is not simply a technique but a way of perceiving the world more truthfully; a method of discovery that opens pathways into inner landscapes, memory and unspoken experience. Her work reminds us that to draw is to observe, to question, and ultimately to connect.

Themes of the inner world, recollection and the tension between opposing forces run quietly through Austė’s compositions. The human body and the natural world appear as recurring motifs, grounding her more abstract ideas in forms that feel familiar and resonant. Rather than offering a fixed narrative, her drawings create space for emotional recognition — moments in which viewers may recall, feel or reconstruct something of their own.

We are honoured to present Austė’s thoughtful and poetic work, which aligns beautifully with our commitment to showcasing art that engages both the heart and the mind.
